You'd think by now that people would realize that teenagers are going to experiment with sex no matter WHAT, so we might as well try to help them be safe and educated!!

Well, clearly not.

The Catholic Church is bugging out over the decision to install condom vending machines in a high school in Rome, but the administration is sticking to their guns and hoping it will curb teen pregnancy and the spread of HIV!!

Bravo!!

Statistics in Italy have shown that teen pregnancy and the numbers of young people contracting HIV have been steadily on the rise. On average, most Italian girls lose their virginity at 16 - and almost one in FOUR of them are not protected while doing so!!

Of course, the pope's vicar in Rome, Cardinal Agostino Vallini, has a much different opinion on the matter, and thinks the move "cannot be approved by Rome's ecclesiastical community or by Christian families who are seriously concerned with the education of their children."

We think it's time they seriously STOPPED looking at it as a moral issue and understood the health risks of uneducated teenagers ready to start experimenting!!

Antonio Panaccione, the school's headmaster, was having NONE of the church's BS and says:

"This is not about stimulating the use condoms or intercourse. On the contrary, it's about prevention and education. The scandal is that we do it in Rome, because this is the city of the pope and therefore one can't really talk about sex. They can talk about pedophilia, can't they? To them this is a dogma: One must not talk about it, only do it — secretly!""

OUCH!! But true!!

Although this a relatively new move in Italy, condom vending machines have been present in countries like Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands. French schools have the machines in nearly 96% of their high schools!

Elena Bucchinelli, a 16 year old Italian student, says:

"We young people are the most vulnerable to the risks of unprotected sex. Schools and families are the best places to receive this kind of information. Many young people think they know all that there is to know about sex, but that's not true."

What a smart girl!! We agree completely!!

We wonder if the USA will ever catch on to this kind thinking!!

We're not holding our breath, though!

They said he would come back. We just didn't think he would appear with breakfast!

Recently, Toby Elles from Lancaster, England thought he would get in the kitchen and whip up some grub for himself. The 22-year-old brilliantly left the stove on after he was done cooking and after he took a quick boozey-snoozey, he realized his error and rushed to the stove.

Lo and behold, there was Jesus Christ, looking back at him with burnt eyes of grease from the frying pan.

It is pretty distincitve! The eyes, the hair - he's got the whole Holy package!

Toby is calling it a "miracle", since the pan could have just been taken over by the flames and burned him into little pieces. Instead, Jesus appeared to save him.

And there you have it, folks! Jesus is all for smoking dope, cooking bacon and taking naps.

So cute!

Faisal Mohyud-Din and Mohammed Azeem from Manchester decided to raise money for the new cancer unit at the Christie Cancer Hospital in Oldham.

Their solution was to get into the Guinness Book of World Records for the world's longest hug - and they did it! The two hugged for 24 hours and 17 minutes, breaking the record by 16 minutes.

Their biggest challenge?! Staying awake!

Director Chris Nolan opened up a bit about the third Batman film and the direction he wants to go sounds like it could be the last one! He revealed:

"We have a great ensemble, that's one of the attractions of doing another film, since we've been having a great time for years. Without getting into specifics, the key thing that makes the third film a great possibility for us is that we want to finish our story.

"And in viewing it as the finishing of a story rather than infinitely blowing up the balloon and expanding the story."

He didn't say which villain would appear in the next movie, just that Mr. Freeze was not going to show up. It's also unclear if the movie will continue from where The Dark Knight left off or start fresh with a new story featuring the Caped Crusader. Nolan continues:

"I'm very excited about the end of the film, the conclusion, and what we've done with the characters. My brother [screenwriter Jonathan Nolan] has come up with some pretty exciting stuff. Unlike the comics, these things don't go on forever in film and viewing it as a story with an end is useful.

"Viewing it as an ending, that sets you very much on the right track about the appropriate conclusion and the essence of what tale we're telling. And it harkens back to that priority of trying to find the reality in these fantastic stories. That's what we do."

We don't think Warner Bros. will like this very much — it could mean the end of one of their major cash cows!

Kelsey Grammer comes back to Broadway for the acclaimed musical to play not one, but both lead roles. First, Kelsey will take on the role of nightclub owner George for the first six months of the production. Then, he will switch over to the role of cabaret singer Albin for the rest of his run.

They might has well turn it into a one-man show! He'll know all the lines!

We reported earlier that a Mississippi county school board cancelled prom for an entire high school after a lesbian student attempted to fight a rule that banned her from bringing her girlfriend to the dance.

The student, Constance McMillen, returned to school today for the first time since the announcement, and despite backlash from her peers, is holding her ground!!

McMillen says:

"My daddy told me that I needed to show them that I'm still proud of who I am. The fact that this will help people later on, that's what's helping me to go on. Somebody said, 'Thanks for ruining my senior year.' I guess they would rather do that than what's right, what's constitutionally correct. It's a small town in Mississippi, and it's run by an older generation with money. Most of them are more conservative and they don't agree with it."

Poor thing!!

She seems like such a smart, well-adjusted young woman with a good head on her shoulders!!

Daryl Presgraves, spokesman for the advocacy group Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education network, says:

"A lot of schools actually react rather than do the research and find out what the rights of these students are. It sends a message that these students shouldn't be treated the same."

So unfair and sad.

We know how hard this must be for you, but by holding your head up high and not backing down, you are no doubt inspiring TONS of gay kids everywhere to believe in who they are!!

Paramount is onboard for a new stoner comedy starring Jason Segel and Ed Helms called Jeff Who Lives at Home. The flick is about two brothers who embark on a crazy, hazy adventure for self-enlightenment. One brother is a loser, the other "overbearing."

In films such as this, it's better not to get bogged down with big things like plot or character development. Just stick to making jokes about goo-balls and Adrianne Curry.

That's the entertainment America wants!

A New Jersey man has been accused of raping and abusing his own children, keeping them prisoner in their own home and fathering offspring with several of them.

A New Jersey father is facing trial after prosecutors say he raped and beat five of his daughters for years, leaving three of them pregnant with his children.

Aswad Ayinde will stand trial five times, once for each daughter police he say raped, beat and sometimes impregnated.

According to the Associated Press, the ex-wife of the 51-year-old man appeared in court and testified against him in a pre-trial saying that he wanted to create “pure” family bloodlines by impregnating several of his teenage daughters.

“He said the world was going to end and it was just going to be him and his offspring and that he was chosen.”
Prosecutors say the man beat the girls who were isolated from the outside world and home schooled, with wooden boards and steel-toed boots.
