You know what makes me happier than bright shiny new babies or soft bouncy little puppies? Justice. Hard-ass, throw-the-book-at-em justice. And that’s exactly what Jon Gosselin got today. Earlier he and soon-to-be e-wife Kate were in court, and the only word that was released was that the hearing was brief and they’re both due back in court in two weeks. The hearing was over the $230,000 Jon took out of their joint accounts without permission, which he has totally denied even though every little withdrawal has been completely and accurately documented. Now we have word on exactly what went down – and it’s good. Really good. Jon has to pay back $180,000 pronto. By the next hearing – which gives him only thirteen days to come up with the money. Otherwise he’ll be held in contempt. Yippee!

Jon Gosselin has been ordered to return $180,000 in marital funds, which were removed in violation of an arbitrator’s order.

According to Kate’s lawyer, Mark Momjian, “The remaining sum of $55,000, which Ms. Gosselin used for household bills and expenses relating to the children, will be subject to further determination by the arbitrator at a later date.”

Jon is required to repay the loot by October 26 — the next hearing — or appear before the judge for a contempt proceeding.

The judge also ordered Kate to provide an accounting of past expenses — also due by Oct. 26.

Kate says, “As difficult as this has been for me, I am pleased that the Court has ruled fairly on behalf of myself and my children. Now that this matter has been ruled on, I look forward to returning to private arbitration, as we have agreed to do, to resolve any remaining issues.”

Party up in here! I love it when sucky things happen to sucky people. And that’s the best way to describe Jon Gosselin. How’s Jon going to come up with $180,000 in thirteen days? What do you think his Ed Hardy collection is worth? I’m assuming he doesn’t have the money anymore, with the way he’s been living. And remember, the guy’s got eight little children. He’s very much taking food out of his kids’ mouths so he can bum around the south of France with women of questionable… well everything. Kate requested that Jon be forced to sell his luxury cars, which I think is a fantastic idea. And then I think he should be forced to drive a nice sensible soccer dad car. A Honda Odyssey. At least 10 years old, so there’s no hookup for his iPod.

Wouldn’t it be lovely if this divorce is about to wrap up?
