YAZM!

The National Enquirer has a very interesting little piece of gossip this week. Mike Walker (the gossip guy who broke the story on Wall Street 2) claims that Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher and Bruce Willis are pushing a film based on their arrangement, sort of. Ashton is allegedly interested in producing a film loosely-based on their life - a couple divorces, then the ex-wife marries a much-younger man, shenanigans follow. Hm… it actually wouldn’t be the worst film:

Cougar Emeritus DEMI MOORE’s squealing like a teenybopper because 16-years-younger hubby ASHTON KUTCHER’s generating buzz that’s got Hollywood fast-tracking his sensational new movie project – a romantic comedy that teams onetime screen queen Demi with real-life ex BRUCE WILLIS, and chronicles the zany adventures of a divorced couple after she marries (you guessed it!) a sexy stud 16 years her junior!

“It’s a PR bonanza with built-in headlines,” Ashton enthused to Bruce, who loves the idea and desperately needs career CPR since his new flick “Surrogates” went on life-support – not to mention a DOA mess titled “Assassination of a High School President,” co-starring MISCHA BARTON, that fast-tracked straight to video!

Writers are pounding out the script as we go to press, and insiders say studio moguls are sniffing that sweet smell of success for the floundering box office mega-stars – especially with certified boy-genius Kutcher aboard. (Folks, I second that emotion!)

I guess I believe this because Ashton is trying to be a bigwig producer, and because the only thing he’s seemed to have gotten right is his relationship with Demi. It would make sense that he would try to make a film about their marriage - or rather, her and Bruce’s divorce, and their subsequent remarriages.

In one piece of additional Ashton news, he told People Magazine at Wednesday evening’s GQ’s Gentleman’s Ball that his “best friend” is Yehuda Berg, the founder of the Kabbalah Center:

Sure, he’s got Demi Moore. But Ashton Kutcher’s wife isn’t the only No. 1 in his life.

“My best friend? Yehuda Berg,” Kutcher, 31, announced Wednesday night at GQ magazine’s The Gentleman’s Ball in New York City, where he presented the Kabbalist with an award for being an agent of change. “To me, he’s not a rabbi. He’s my friend.”

Kutcher went on to explain, “If you truly want to change the world, you have to start by changing yourself. [Berg] taught me that and it’s been the most important lesson of my life.”

Though the star wouldn’t specify how he’s changed himself, the rabbi provided further explanation.

“We used to think, ‘Change the world, and eventually, my life will be better,’ ” Berg said. “The truth is, if we change ourselves, the world will be better.”

As for an A-list relationship like Kutcher and Moore’s, what does the rabbi believe to be the key to their success?

“There has to be an understanding of each other,” says Berg, who also counts Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow among his followers. “And an understanding that we can be different, but we don’t have to be apart.”

And now that the world knows how Kutcher feels about Berg, how would the rabbi describe the star and his wife? “They’re very special people,” Berg says. “And she’s a great mom. An amazing, amazing mom.”

Meh. I don’t think Kabbalah is as sketchy as, say, the Church of Scientology, but the whole Kabbalah thing does seem like a big scheme to get celebrities to buy $50 bottles of “Kabbalah water”. I wonder if Ashton will bring Kabbalah into the film about Demi and Bruce? To my knowledge, Bruce isn’t interested in that stuff, only Demi.
