It's the Idol curse!
Stalkers, lower ratings, Kara DioGuardi, and crew members falling from set pieces!
A mere 2 hours before the show's live broadcast on Tuesday, stage manager Debbie Williams fell from Ryan Seacrest retractable staircase, suffering a gash to the bone on her leg that required a trip to the emergency room and stitches. A large tower also fell, littering the stage with shattered glass.
Adding to the chaos, audience members were not permitted inside until just 20 minutes prior to airing, causing ushers to urge them to disregard their tickets and simply sit wherever.
Additionally, a pre-taped segment wrapped just 2 minutes before Idol hit the air.
The staircase was again properly secured, as Gwen Stefani descended it for a pre-taped performance of "Just a Girl" for Wednesday night's show.
FOX, FreemantleMedia North America and 19 Entertainment released a joint statement saying, "During rehearsal today a crew member had a mishap on set and was immediately taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure. We have no further information at this time."
And following the show, Seacrest Tweeted, "Good news our stage manager debbie is doing much better. She fell during rehersal …she's my right hand during these shows. Love u deb!"

Katie Holmes may be trying to break free again – even if only temporarily. The actress was widely reported to love New York and want to move there permanently after starring in “All My Sons” on Broadway. However husband Tom Cruise was supposedly against it, and when her run in the play ended she returned to Los Angeles. Now Star is reporting that Katie has been spending a great deal of time working on her dance moves in the hopes of getting the lead in the Broadway version of the movie “Finding Neverland.”
Katie Holmes is staying on her toes, hoping to snag a starring role in a big Broadway musical! Mrs. Tom Cruise, 30, has spent a lot of time lately at the International Dance Academy in Hollywood. “She’s determined to do a musical,” says a source, “and really wants the female lead in ‘Finding Neverland,’” the play based on the life of Peter Pan author J.M. Barrie. Katie has already proved herself on stage - she had a successful run last year in the drama ‘All My Sons’ and showed off her singing and hoofing skills on the canceled ABC series ‘Eli Stone.’

“Finding Neverland” was the movie that made me like Johnny Depp. I have no idea what was wrong with me, but I couldn’t have cared for him less up until that point. It really was a phenomenal movie and it’ll be interesting to see how it translates onto the stage. That said I cannot imagine how they’ll turn it into a musical. But most people said that about “The Color Purple” and they did a great job with it.
Katie always seems so quiet and demure; I’d love to see her in a musical, hopefully in a more outgoing role. The more independence she gets from Tom, the better, and she seemed to really enjoy her time in New York. I swear, I can almost see her making a break for it any day…

According to reports, Princess Eugenie, the party girl and granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth, was mugged while on vacation in Cambodia!
The 19-year-old and two friends were attacked by a "gang of bandits" as they were walking at night in Phnom Penh. Apparently as one friend was getting her purse out, the mugger snatched it away.
Thankfully, the royal bodyguards were nearby and managed to tackle one of the thieves to the ground as he tried to escape with the purse.
And as the two bodyguards were attacking the lowlife, another one of the muggers started to throw rocks at the guards.
So, in a quick decision, the officials decided to let the a-hole go, grabbed back the purse, and led the princess away as they began to worry for her safety.
A Buckingham Palace source did reveal that the officers "feared the incident was escalating out of control and took the decision to focus on the safety of their principal."
Thankfully no one was hurt.
